Veila Wray - Clinic Receptionist

Please explain the service you provide in your own words: I see myself as the helpful, friendly face of the clinic. I will knowledgeably answer any questions you might have about our services to help you determine the right appointment type and help you juggle your busy diary with booking a session with one of our team. Together with our fluffy receptionist, Olive, we hope to make you feel comfortable and informed about your visit to Physio Effect

What's the best thing about doing what you do?: I really enjoy chatting to our patients and getting to know them personally. I take pride in making our customers feel at ease in our small, family-run business. It’s a bit of a paradox, obviously I’m delighted when our exceptional Physios enable a full recovery in our patients but that’s paired with a hint of disappointment that we won’t get to continue our weekly catch-ups!

What excites you about working at Physio Effect?: The team are what makes the clinic special for me. Not only are they highly skilled in practice they are also wonderful, thoughtful, caring people and we have really wonderful friendships. I’m also really grateful that I can take my wee buddy, Olive, in to work with me. She loves meeting you all!

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing? I run my own business as an events florist so most of my evenings and weekends are spent designing and installing beautiful, sustainable flower arrangements for weddings.

I’m a keen member of the EDA Gym community (where Physio Effect Northside is located) and I try to get a cross functional workout in every day. I love getting outdoors, taking Olive for adventures in the incredible landscapes that Scotland has to offer, open water swimming and paddle boarding - so if you have any location recommendations definitely let me know!
