How long have you been practising?: Since 2010
Please explain the service you provide in your own words: I am passionate about providing excellent care to all types of patients and use a whole body approach to treatment incorporating manual therapy, needling, functional exercise and education to empower people to reach their treatment goals. Through treating musculoskeletal conditions, I developed an interest in pelvic health and pursued several courses to become certified to treat pelvic health disorders such as incontinence, prolapse, pain with intercourse, diastasis recti and to educate and treat pregnant and postnatal clients.
What's the best thing about doing what you do?: I love getting to know my clients and helping them to find their way back to doing what they love, whatever that is.
What excites you about working at Physio Effect?: We truly care about patient rehabilitation. The team is incredibly knowledgeable so it’s great to bounce ideas off each other to make sure we give our clients the best outcome for their situation.
What are your dreams for your service within the company in the next year or so?: To increase awareness of women’s pelvic floor issues and become the go-to clinic for all things women’s health.
Outside of being a physiotherapist, what do you enjoy doing? Having lived in Calgary, and having the Rocky Mountains on my doorstep, from 2013-2022, I indulged in a lot of outdoor activities including hiking and SUP in summer and snowboarding and snowshoeing in winter. I am excited now to explore more of Scotland with my husband and two little boys.
